After seven years of working in the electronics manufacturing industry as a quality engineer, Ethel immigrated to Canada. Obtaining her professional engineering registration in Manitoba provided her with the opportunity to continue to work as a professional engineer. She currently works for the Royal Canadian Mint, as a Senior Quality Systems Engineer, where she is primarily responsible for supplier quality and qualification. She was the first woman to have chaired the Filipino Members Chapter, during which time she, among others, initiated the Chapter's community involvement through group volunteering at local charities organized the first volunteers' recognition event and team building introduced scholarships to motivate recipients to register for association (replacing bursaries) launched chapter website provided worldwide audience for the chapter through a regular column with a local newspaper collaborated with other association chapters which resulted to multi-year networking events improved chapter's visibility and participation to association's events acquired annual sponsorship with a financial institution.

She currently serves on the association's Experience Review Committee and one of 7 wardens on Camp 8.

My name is Joy Oserio, P.Eng. I work at Gerdau, Selkirk, Manitoba. Gerdau manufactures long and special steel products for the agriculture,
energy, industrial, automotive and manufacturing markets by transforming scraps to new products promoting sustainable development.

I coordinate Capex Electrical projects, in charge of supervising the development while observing conditions such as cost, quality, safety and timelines.
I lead in the definition of project scope, specifications, planning, coordination, implementation, resource allocation and risk management. I also assist in production troubleshooting, design and upgrades.

I aspire to see more women in this industry. It makes me feel warm every time I see women on the floor, operating machines, driving fork lifts, etc.

Leigh Ermitanio, P.Eng, completed the Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Engineering, Civil Engineering IEEQ Program.

Spending nearly 12 years in the construction industry allowed me to work on a wide range of commercial and heavy civil projects most notably spending majority of my career working at Keeyask Generating Station as an Earthworks Engineer. My extensive construction experience led me to my current position with the Project Services Department at Manitoba Hydro as an Estimating Engineer (Civil).

I am an internationally educated Electronics Engineering graduate, experienced in a Manufacturing and Assembly environment. Was not born dreaming to be an Engineer, was probably least of what I wanted when I was younger. Hi, my name is Mary Ann Hill, EIT. I'm an engineer working in a manufacturing company. I’m also a sewer, embroiderer, knitter, and enjoy learning new things. At this point in time, I believe we can all make a difference and make use of our talents with joy and empathy to serve others.

I studied in University of Manitoba with Electrical Engineering Degree since September 2014 to April 2020 with a goal of to be a licensed Professional Engineer. In between those years, I encountered a lot of opportunities that would divert my attention not completing that goal. I had two pregnancies, I got employed with BellMTS as Technician, and I got my Insurance Agent Licence and Registered Retirement Education with the financial industry in Canada. With all that success, there is always a part of me that has unfinished business. Success is not always satisfying your physical need but it must satisfy the whole you, mentally, socially, morally. Engineering was part of me since I was young child, Math was my life and being an immigrant in new country will not change whom I was destined to be. It triggered me most watching my eldest growing and started building his own designs and own dreams. How would I encourage my children to dream if I stopped achieving my own dream?
