Winnipeg, MB – The Filipino Members Chapter of Engineers Geoscientists

Manitoba (FMC-EGM) hosted a lively bowling and fundraising event on

October 26, 2024, at Chateau Lanes, drawing a spirited crowd of members and

community supporters. With 23 lanes occupied by teams and individual players,

the event brought together 135 attendees in a night filled with camaraderie,

friendly competition, and a shared commitment to giving back. By the end of

the night, the event raised an impressive $2,510 to support the scholarship

program of FMC-EGM.

Participants competed for individual and team prizes. In the women’s category, Susan Lim triumphed with her outstanding bowling performance, while Armand Garcia claimed victory in the men’s category. The team event was competitive as well, with the winning team composed of Armand Garcia, Ray Duque, Marita Salazar, Van Valerio, Eduard, and Rey Robillos Jr., displaying impressive skill and teamwork.

Chateau Lanes was buzzing with laughter and friendly cheers throughout the evening, as the event served as both a fundraiser and an opportunity for members to connect and get to know each other. The funds raised will go towards the scholarship fund of FMC-EGM, reinforcing the Filipino Members Chapter's mission to empower and support aspiring Filipino engineers and geoscientists within Manitoba.

With a successful event behind them, the Filipino Members Chapter of Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba looks forward to more community gatherings and opportunities to foster professional growth and connection among its members.
